Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of disabilitydayservices.com (the “site”), operated by Byte Byte. By using the site, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

1. The service we provide

The site is a free, publicly accessible directory and map of HSE-funded adult disability day services in Ireland. It is provided as a public-good project. There is no charge, no account, and no subscription.

Because it is free and informational, the Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability applies in full to your use of it. That page forms part of these terms, and section 8 of it limits our liability to you. Please read it.

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the site for any unlawful purpose, or in breach of these terms;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its server, or its database;
• interfere with, disrupt, or place an unreasonable load on the site or its infrastructure, including through automated scraping at a rate that degrades the service for others;
• introduce malware or any other malicious code;
• send us spam, bulk messages, abusive content, or fraudulent communications;
• harvest personal data of service providers or staff for marketing purposes; or
• misrepresent the site as an official HSE resource, or imply an affiliation or endorsement that does not exist.

We apply rate limiting and anti-spam measures, and we may block access where we reasonably believe these terms are being breached.

3. Content and licensing

Original site content — the text, layout, design, and compiled presentation of the data — is © Byte Byte and is made available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence. You are free to share and adapt it, including commercially, provided you give appropriate credit to Byte Byte and link back to this site.

This licence does not extend to:

• the Byte Byte name, logo, and branding, which remain our trade marks and may not be used to imply endorsement or affiliation without our written permission;
• third-party data, which carries its own terms — Health Region boundary data is sourced from GeoHive under CC BY 4.0, and mapping content is supplied by Google under its own terms; and
• the underlying HSE and provider information, which belongs to its respective sources.

4. Getting in touch

Contact is by email at hello@bytebyte.ie. When you email us, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you are entitled to share it. You grant us permission to use the content of your message for the purpose of responding to you and, where relevant, correcting or improving the site. We handle your personal data as set out in the Privacy Policy.

5. Service providers listed on the site

Listings are compiled from public and third-party sources. If you represent a listed service and want your entry corrected, updated, or removed, contact hello@bytebyte.ie and we will action reasonable requests promptly. Inclusion is not an endorsement, and it does not imply any relationship between Byte Byte and the provider.

6. Availability and changes

We may change, suspend, or withdraw the site or any part of it at any time, without notice. We may also revise these terms; the date at the top of this page shows when they were last updated, and continued use after a change means you accept the revised terms.

7. Liability

Our liability to you is limited as set out in the Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded, including your statutory rights as a consumer.

8. General

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it. These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections available to you in your country of residence.
